Twitter data breach: Personal details of 5.4M users leaked including celebrities and companies 2022

 





The enormous collection of personal information taken from Twitter is being offered for sale on the Dark Web a hacker forum for the current asking price of $30,000.


Twitter acknowledged the breach and said that hackers had taken advantage of a flaw dating back to 2022. According to reports, the information contains 5.4 million users' names, phone numbers, and email addresses. A few of the exposed users are businesses and celebrities.

The Twitter bug first appeared in January.
Users' phone numbers, emails, IDs, names, and addresses were exposed as a result of the January-discovered Twitter issue. This information was lost as a result of a flaw in Twitter's Android user permission system. This procedure checks to see if a different account has been created with the same phone number, name, or email address.

Using the flaw, the hacker, The data of millions of users were made available for sale when this problem, which was left unfixed, was exploited by a hacker. The data was offered for sale on the hacker forum by the hacker. Note that user credentials are not part of this data dump.
